Hurricane Isaias Made Official Landfall in NC, Knocking Out Power For Over 100,000 Residents

Hurricane Isaias hit the coast of North Carolina last night, causing flooding, destruction, and power outages for over 100,000 North Carolina residents.

The storm made official landfall on North Carolina’s Ocean Isle Beach at 11:10 p.m. with a maximum sustained wind velocity of 85 mph.

The hurricane took down trees and powerlines across the city;
