A Gastonia man has just won the $1 million prize in a scratch off game, according to press release from the NC Educational Lottery.
Orlando Floyd paid $30 for a scratch-off game called ‘$10,000,000 Colossal Cash’ at the Times Turn Around gas station on South New Hope Road in Gastonia;

When Floyd turned in his ticket, he had a choice between an annuity pay out of $50,000 over 20 years or a one-time lump sum of $600,000. He chose the lump sum prize and, after required state and federal taxes were taken out, he took home a total of $424,509.
