Last week we announced that Garth Brooks would be performing his first concert in Charlotte in over 22 years at the Bank of America Stadium.

Just 90 minutes after the tickets went on sale yesterday morning, all 74,000 seats were sold out. With each ticket costing $94.95, the venue generated $7,026,300 in less than 2 hours. It’s now officially the the largest paying crowd in the history of the Bank of America stadium.

According the Garth Brook’s website, there was a hard limit of eight-tickets per purchase, preventing big purchases by ticket resellers.

Garth himself seemed surprised by the overwhelming response from Charlotte fans;

Brooks will perform at his sold out show in Charlotte at the Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, May 2 starting at 7:00 pm. It will be the only concert in the Carolinas during his upcoming tour.

You can still buy tickets on StubHub for people who may have bought too many tickets or had a change of plans. Ticket prices on the site range from $102.49 to $9,9999.
