Gano Kicked Franchise-Long 63-Yarder To Beat The Giants by 2 Points With Seconds On The Clock

Yesterday the Panthers played the most exciting and frustrating games in recent memory. Cam’s first touchdown drive was magical, and he quickly followed it up with another impressive field goal drive in the first half.

Things started to unravel for the ‘Cardiac Cats’ in the second half, as they often do, but moments before we were about to lose to the visiting New York team, down by just 1 point, Graham Gano lined up for a career and franchise-long 63-yard field goal with just seconds left on the clock…”it’s good”!!

“That was fun. I don’t even think it’s hit me. I didn’t think it was that far when we went out there,” Gano commented after the game. “I really don’t think about a whole lot because I know the group in front of me is going to do its job well.”

Newton ended the game 21-of-35 with 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, 237 total passing yards, and 29 rushing yards. McCaffrey caught his first touchdown of the season and ran for a total of 58 yards.

Here’s a full recap of the game;
