Yesterday morning, a fire caused by improperly disposed of fireworks destroyed a home in West Charlotte.
According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the blaze erupted in a home on the 800 block of Oakshire Circle at 1:34am on the morning of the 4th.
Officials say the affected family suffered an estimated $80,000 in damages and is now being assisted by Red Cross.
