One of America’s most popular restaurant chains is expanding in the Charlotte area once again. Concord Mills announced today that a new Cheesecake Factory will open at the shopping destination in 2026.
The opening will mark the third Cheesecake Factory in the Charlotte region, joining the longtime SouthPark Mall location and the restaurant at Birkdale Village in Huntersville.
The announcement comes as the company celebrates National Cheesecake Day on Thursday, July 30, and continues an aggressive national expansion. The new Concord Mills restaurant is one of 26 locations the company plans to open across the country in 2026.
Founded in 1978, The Cheesecake Factory has built a loyal following with an extensive menu featuring more than 250 made-from-scratch dishes. The restaurant is also famous for offering more than 30 cheesecake flavors.
The chain first entered the Charlotte market in 2002 with its SouthPark Mall location. It expanded again in 2023 with a restaurant at Birkdale Village.
The addition is expected to increase foot traffic at Concord Mills while creating new jobs. The outlet mall, which opened in 1999, spans approximately 1.4 million square feet and features about 190 stores, restaurants and attractions. It has continued adding new retailers and entertainment venues in recent years.
The Cheesecake Factory now operates more than 370 locations across North America and reported $3.8 billion in revenue last year, making it one of the nation’s largest upscale casual dining chains.
