Charlotte Roller Derby is bringing live flat-track roller derby back to the Queen City with its first public bout since 2020.
Charlotte Roller Derby’s 2023 Season Opening Homecoming bout will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 4 p.m. The doubleheader event at the Grady Cole Center located at 310 N Kings Dr, Charlotte, NC 28204 will feature a thrilling night of action starting with a CLTRD Royal Rumble: Purple vs. White, followed by the headlining bout against Rogue Rollergirls of Fayetteville, NC.
3:00 p.m.: Doors Open
4:00 p.m.: Royal Rumble: Purple vs. White
6:00 p.m.: Charlotte Roller Derby vs. Rogue Rollergirls
Beer, soft drinks, and food concessions will be available for purchase. Fans will have the chance to win prizes from Charlotte Roller Derby’s merch table, and the popular “Chuck-a-Duck” contest along with other fun games for adults and kids will take place during halftime. Skaters will be available for autographs and fan photos after each bout and league merchandise will be available for purchase.
Advance tickets are available online (https://cltrd021823.bpt.me/) or via any Charlotte Roller Derby league member for $15 for adults and $10 for children 6-12 years old. Kids five and under are admitted for free.
Fans can also purchase tickets on bout day at the venue for $18, while supplies last, and parking is available on-site for $10 (cash only).
