Charlotte Ranked #8 In The Nation For Cities With The Most Remote Workers

The remote industry has seen unprecedented growth over the last decade. In fact, a recent Gallup study found that 43% of American professionals reported spending at least some time working remotely, which was a 4% increase since 2012.

In light of this, the people over at Moneypenny decided to research which cities had the most remote workers.

To determine the rankings, the website analysed data from the U.S. Census on the percentage of the population working from home in each of the 150 largest cities in the U.S.. They used this data to find both the cities with the highest percentage of the population working from home, along with the cities that have seen the largest growth in their remote work population.

Based on the percentage of the population working from home (7.3%), the ranking determined Charlotte falls at #8 and Raleigh came in at #1 for cities with the most remote workers in the United States;
