Charlotte Parents Raise Thousands on GoFundMe to Cover Teachers’ Classroom Supplies

1032

Two parents want to make sure teachers at Cornelius Elementary don’t have to pay out of pocket for classroom supplies.

David Judge, a local pastor, said it all started when he and his wife brought their 3 kids to open house. They noticed every teacher had an Amazon Wish List for needed supplies. That’s when they came up with the idea to “adopt” their kids’ classroom and foot the entire bill for supplies. But they didn’t stop there. David and his wife started a GoFundMe fundraiser to get every classroom at Cornelius Elementary “adopted.”

Now the community has raised over $3,000 to make sure teachers aren’t paying out of pocket for classroom supplies.
