Charlotte native Christian Jones, U.S. Navy Engineman 3rd Class, has just been stationed aboard one of the largest warships in the world – the USS Nimitz.
In the photo to the right, Jones can be seen using a speed wrench to load 20mm high explosive incendiary rounds into an F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron 115 aboard the Nimitz.
The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz is in U.S. 7th Fleet – the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, which routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
