Charlotte Motor Speedway Hosting Drive-In Movie Nights This Weekend

The Charlotte region’s biggest outdoor venue, Charlotte Motor Speedway, is about to hold a series of drive-in movie nights in partnership with the Charlotte Rescue Mission.

Staff from the Rescue Mission and from Charlotte Motor Speedway will practice social distancing and other health and safety restrictions during the events to ensure everyone remains as safe and healthy as possible.

Light snacks, beverages, and restrooms will be available at the events.

There are currently 2 movie nights scheduled, with ‘Despicable Me’ playing on June 6th and ‘Soul Surfer’ playing on June 7th.

The cost is $100 per vehicle, with $70 being tax-deductible.

  1. You’ve got to be kidding me. $100 per vehicle to watch already-seen movies with light snacks provided? I don’t care what charity this goes to, no one will pay that much especially during this time, or any other for that matter. Trying to find a way to keep funding them under a dying sport.
