Watch out Bojangles, Chick Fil A, Popeyes, Zaxby’s, Churches Chicken, Chicken King, Hubee D’s, KFC, Price’s, Viva Chicken, The Roasting Co, and Horace’s Hot Fried Chicken – the Charlotte chicken wars are about to heat up yet again with the entrance of our newest contender – Slim Chicken.
The Arkansas-based chicken sandwich franchise has just partnered with Charlotte-based Break Bread Ventures to open 30 new locations around the Charlotte region, the Triad area, Columbia, SC, and southern VA.
“My partners & I look forward to bringing this incredible brand to parts of NC, SC & VA, with our first location in Charlotte to open later this year”, said Break Bread Ventures COO Joshua Frankel. “We look forward to offering best-in-class opportunities and positively impacting the communities in which we will serve.”
The chicken chain first launched in 2003 and currently has 125 locations across mid-America, Kuwait, and the UK. They specialize in chicken tenders, sandwiches, and chicken and waffle plates with a loyal fanbase who call themselves ‘slimthusiasts’.
