After a grueling training camp in New England, the decision has finally been made to officially name the new starting quarterback of the New England Patriots. According to Jim McBride with the Boston Globe, former Panthers QB Cam Newton has just been named the 2020-21 starting QB of for the Patriots.
The announcement was made yesterday during a team meeting. Coach Belichick announced that Cam Newton won the starting position after proving himself over Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer.
The Patriots also announced that Newton will be one of the team captains for the upcoming season:
