Bobcat Announces Plans For $70 Million Expansion in Charlotte Region – Adding 250 Jobs

Bobcat has just announced major plans to invest over $70 million into the Charlotte region.

According to a press release from the company, the investment will add over 500,000 square feet to their current production facility in Statesville and create at least 250 new jobs over the next 5 years. The plan also includes building at least 80,000 square feet of warehousing and distribution space on site for expanded capacity.

“This level of investment demonstrates our commitment to North Carolina, which has been an important manufacturing location for us since 2008,” said Mike Ballweber, president of Doosan Bobcat North America. “We are dedicated to the continued expansion of our compact equipment line to help empower our customers to accomplish more, and our Statesville location has been an important part of this success.”

The expansion will create new jobs across a wide variety of fields, including; production, manufacturing, engineering, and operations.
