
The Bank of London has just announced plans to build their first US headquarters right here in Charlotte, creating 350 new jobs with an total annual payroll of $33 million when fully staffed.
The bank has signed an 11-year lease for 40,000 sqft of office space in Uptown’s One Independence Center Building at the corner of Trade and Tryon.
“The Bank of London has truly game-changing and patented technology that will power the borderless economy of the future. We will be continuing to invest heavily in our technology offering for clients and we’ve chosen Charlotte as a key location to drive our agenda forward, enabled by Charlotte’s unique combination of banking talent, technologists, and financial business leaders,” said Bank of London’s Co-President Jim Ditmore in a press release.
