Charlotte’s music scene is about to get it’s own “district”.
A new 10,000 sqft, 1,000-capacity music venue has just been announced for Charlotte’s new “Anthem District“.
The Auxiliary (aka “The Aux”), slated to open toward the end of 2027 at 2519 South Tryon St, will become the first tenant in the new entertainment-focused district.
According to a press release about the project, the venue is being designed specifically with live music in mind, from acoustics and sound quality to sightlines throughout the building. The goal is to host more than 100 shows annually, featuring a mix of emerging artists and established touring acts across multiple genres.

Beyond the music venue, plans for Anthem District include additional entertainment options, restaurants, bars, and retail spaces, creating what could become one of Charlotte’s newest nightlife destinations.
Barringer Construction will oversee construction of The Auxiliary, while KDG Architecture is serving as project architect and Timmons Group is handling civil engineering.
