Netflix’s ‘The Hunting Wives’ Is Coming To Charlotte To Film — Looking For Extras

One of Netflix’s most talked-about dramas, The Hunting Wives, is returning to North Carolina to film its second season—and producers are looking for local extras.

The streaming hit, based on May Cobb’s 2021 novel, first premiered earlier this year and quickly climbed Netflix’s Top 10 charts. Although the series is set in a fictional East Texas town, much of its first season was filmed in and around Charlotte and other North Carolina locations.

Casting directors announced that filming for Season 2 will take place across the Charlotte area, offering local residents a chance to appear on screen. Extras of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Those interested should email THW2extras@gmail.com with two current cellphone photos—one close-up and one full-length—along with their full name, contact information, age, height, weight, city of residence, clothing sizes, and any visible tattoos or piercings. Applicants should also include vehicle details in case their car is used during production. The email subject line must list age, ethnicity, gender, and location (for example: 34, Caucasian, Female, Charlotte, N.C.).

Optional information such as special skills—like law enforcement, construction, wait staff, motorcycle riding, or dance—can be added to boost selection chances.

Filming will begin soon, with multiple Charlotte-area sites expected to serve as backdrops for the show’s glamorous and scandalous storylines. For ongoing casting calls and production updates, check out Tona B. Dahlquist Casting on Facebook.
