Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a small plane crash near Clemson University in South Carolina this morning.
Oconee County Emergency Services confirmed the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. just outside the airport near Delta Rho Drive, close to downtown Clemson. Authorities said the pilot reported engine failure and attempted to make an emergency landing before the aircraft went down.
The crash brought down nearby power lines, temporarily cutting electricity in the area. Utility crews quickly responded, and service has since been restored.
