Charlotte Café Becomes First in America To Use Watermelon Seed Milk

Charlotte’s own Wildroots Coffee (the 70s-themed coffee shops on Morehead and Church Sts), just created the first ever “watermelon seed milk”. They will now also be the first coffee shop in the country to use “MILKish” in their lattes and other coffee drinks.
Founded by Jasmine Koch, Wildroots is now offering the watermelon-seed-based milk option at both of their Charlotte locations.
According to Wildroots, “MILKish is smooth, creamy, and surprisingly similar to almond milk in flavor, minus the water waste (watermelon seeds require 99% less water to grow.) It’s available in Original and unsweetened Vanilla, both with 0g sugar.”
