If you’re a frequent T.J. Maxx shopper in the Charlotte region, you may want to hold your purse a little tighter next time you decide to go shopping.
According to police, there have now been a total of 47 purses reported stolen over the past month. Thefts were reported at T.J. Maxx on South Tryon on April 3rd, at T.J. Maxx on Ikea Blvd. on April 12th, and at T.J. Maxx on South Blvd. twice over the past week.
T.J. Maxx issued the following statement about the recent robberies:
We are aware of these incidents and are cooperating fully with law enforcement. As this is a police matter, it would be inappropriate to comment further.
