A shooting last night in Gaston County involving police resulted in 3 individuals being taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
The shooting occurred at around 4 am in the morning. Mount Holly PD officers were responding to a break-in report at the Mount Holly Car Wash off Beatty Drive when they encountered multiple suspects.
One suspect was shot and one officer was shot. Police have not yet released information about the 3rd individual who was shot.

All 3 individuals were rushed to CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia for treatment.
NC Highway 273 was closed for most of this morning as multiple police agencies and the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) investigated the scene.
