Yesterday afternoon an innocent bystander was killed in the crossfire during a shootout just Northeast of Uptown Charlotte.
According to CMPD, 27-year-old Kendal Crank was shot while driving down E. 28th Street towards N. Tryon around at about 5:17pm. Bullets pierced her vehicle and she was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police have now arrested 17-year-old Adonis Smith, 22-year-old Tychicus Unique Dobie, and 24-year-old Marquis Lebron Smith and charged them all with discharging a weapon into a moving vehicle and murder. Smith was additionally charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon.
