Registration is now open for Charlotte’s 3rd Annual Pink Cupcake Walk & Survivor Lap. The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. at Truist Field at 324 S. Mint Street in Uptown Charlotte.

“We are thrilled to be part of this year’s Cupcake Walk and look forward to the community joining us in a celebration of survivorship, helping lift up those who fight, and remembering those we have lost,” said Susan Sears, executive director of Go Jen Go. “Join us for a morning of love, support and fun to walk, enjoy delicious cupcakes, and cheer on breast cancer survivors, fighters and thrivers.”

In commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, participants will don pink attire (along with green and teal signifying metastatic breast cancer), walk one mile (four laps) around the baseball field and receive a mini cupcake from a local bakery after each lap. Breast cancer survivors, fighters and thrivers will also take a personal lap following the Pink Cupcake Walk. Local bakeries include Kupkake Kouture, Dream Cupcakes and Sunshine’s Southern Kitchen.

There will be a fall festival at Truist Field with live music, kids’ activities, food and drinks following the event. The cost is $30 per person until Aug. 17 and then increases to $35/person. Participants must sign up by Sept. 5 to be guaranteed an event T-shirt. A portion of the proceeds will support Go Jen Go. Register online at https://bit.ly/2023CupcakeWalk.

“Third year! We couldn’t be more excited. The success of the Pink Cupcake Walk is in its feel. I love how our walk—and #TeamMolly—honors Survivors, Thrivers, AND Fighters,” said Molly Grantham, anchor at WBTV News and emcee of the Cupcake Walk. “All three specific groups of people, no matter where they are in their breast cancer journey. Those who dreamed up the Pink Cupcake Walk did so because we care. We live here. We’re in this community and we wanted to support a charitable event that kept our fundraising and passion in our backyards. Local, local, local. Can’t wait for October 7, 2023, and the spirit that shows up on that baseball field.”

Truist is the presenting sponsor of the Cupcake Walk, which is being organized by the producers of Taste of Charlotte. Other sponsors include Food Lion, Cupcake Wine and WBTV.
