UNC and Duke Advance To Final 4 To Face Off In First Ever NCAA Tournament Meeting

On Saturday, Duke took down Arkansas in the Elite 8 to advance to the Final 4.

Last night, UNC took down St. Peters in the Elite 8 to advance to the Final 4.

This coming Saturday, UNC will take down…I mean take on Duke in the Final 4 for the first time in basketball history.

It’ll not only be the arch rivals’ first ever match up in the Final 4 – it will actually be the 2 teams’ first ever match up in the NCAA Tournament itself.

UNC and Duke have faced off a total of 256 times in both regular season rivalry match-ups, ACC tournament match-ups (often joining Wake Forest and NC State for a home state ‘Big Four’ holiday tournament), and once in an NIT semifinal tournament game, but NC’s ultimate blue rivalry has never been seen on the NCAA’s iconic March Madness stage.

Currently, UNC leads the series 142-115, with the Tar Heels winning their first game in 1920 and their last game this past March 5th in Coach K’s final home game in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

This Saturday, Duke will be looking for revenge.

Who do you think will win the epic match-up, and how many points do you think UNC will lead by?
