With the pandemic winding down and the majority of Charlotteans now vaccinated, event organizers have started relaunching outdoor events in a socially distanced and responsible way.

This weekend, the Charlotte region will feature number of concerts, art events, and festivals.

Here are the top 10 that we know of happening over the next few days:

#1 Uncle Kracker Live at Kannapolis Festival 

Discover Fun in Kannapolis this weekend with an incredible lineup of great concerts, movies, and of course, fireworks.

#2 Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition

This unique exhibition, hosted in Charlotte, NC, invites you to step into the universe of the greatest masterpieces of Michelangelo, yet seen from a totally new perspective. It is brought to you by the organizers of the finest themed exhibitions such as: Star Trek, King Tut, Titanic, Frida Kahlo, Michael Jackson and more.

#3 Sunset Sessions at Anne Springs Close Greenway

Sunset Sessions returns to Fort Mill this weekend from 6pm-9pm. Enjoy our singer/songwriter format on Friday & Saturday nights at the Domtar Forest Porch as the sun dips over the horizon. The Gateway Canteen will serve their full menu along with a full line-up of craft beer and wine.

#4 Gastonia Honey Hunters at Lancaster Barnstormers

Gastonia Honey Hunters will be taking on the Lancaster Barnstormers this weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Downtown Gastonia.

#5 White Water Center’s River Jam

Live music takes place throughout the year at a one-of-a-kind outdoor venue in the middle of the world’s largest man-made whitewater river. Genres including roots rock, Americana, bluegrass, folk, and funk are featured on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at the Whitewater Center’s main stage.

#6 Darrell Harwood’s Final Show at The China Grove Festival

Tracen Hollow band will open at 6:30pm. DH will take the stage at 8pm. FIREWORKS will follow the show at 9:30. Fireworks launched from Centerview Street. Hanna Park, bring you own chair. Axe Throwing 7pm-9pm and get a sneak peak at Grove Cartel Brewing. Sno Biz and Maxx’s Desserts will be selling yummy treats.

#7 Greyson Chance live at The Neighborhood Theater 

The young YouTube sensation will be performing live in Charlotte this Saturday starting at 8pm as a part of his Trophies World Tour.

Lil Duval is a renowned American stand-up comedian, actor, and recording artist.

He’ll be performing live at the Fillmore this coming Saturday night starting at 7pm.

#9 Cornelius Street Festival

This Saturday drive up to Cornelius for a BBQ cook-off, vendors, food trucks, and a performance by Rockie and the band. Come enjoy a fantastic evening of food, fun, and music. All proceeds benefit Ace and TJ’s Grin Kids.
