If you’re a Christian, this weekend is a great time to celebrate the birth of the Savior of the World! If you’re not, this weekend is a great time to find out why other people are celebrating so much!

Here are some of the biggest Christmas eve services we found in Charlotte (in alphabetical order):

#1 Calvary Church

Christmas Eve services: 9:45, 4pm, and 6:30pm on Dec. 24. Child care for age 4 and under provided at 4 and 6 p.m. ASL interpretation available at 6 p.m. 5801 Pineville-Matthews Road.

#2 Covenant Presbyterian

Family service: Features nativity presented by the kindergarteners, 11 a.m. Dec. 24. Following the service, enjoy refreshments and nativity animals.

Contemporary service: With music of Appalachia 3 p.m.

Traditional candlelight service: 11:30am and 5 p.m. 1000 E. Morehead St.

#3 Dilworth Church

Service times: 10am, 4pm, 5:30pm, and 11pm Dec. 24. 605 E. Blvd.

Services of carols and candlelight with children’s nativity tableau: 3 and 6 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Service led by youth and young adults: 4:30 p.m. in Jubilee Hall.
