Being involved in the running community for many years, co-founders Brian Mister and his wife, Chelsea, saw a need to continue to bring it together in a meaningful and accessible way. This year, the events that lead up to the race on September 5, include Ades Artist Series, Kids Run, Feetures First Timer’s Club training program, Truist Training Tours, a Pay What You Can entry fee system, and a Race Expo and finish festival that embodies togetherness. As founding partners of the Low Impact Alliance, Around the Crown 10K is a leader in sustainable practices being a totally cupless race with water stations provided straight from the city hydrants on race day and recycled tees from local apparel company, Recover Brands.
