The student who was shot this morning has just died in the hospital.

Butler High School is now on lockdown after a shooting occurred early this morning.
According to CMPD, the suspected shooter is now in custody and one person has now been taken to the hospital from a gunshot wound.

The school and surrounding roads have been placed on lockdown as police continue to investigate.
CMS released the following statement about the incident;
Authorities do not yet know what led to the shooting.
