The world’s best street dancers will come together this Spring for the return of premiere one-on-one street dance competition, Red Bull Dance Your Style. There will be five regional qualifiers across the US, which will determine the dancers in the National Final in New Orleans, with the ultimate goal of then competing in the World Finals and taking home global bragging rights.
To earn a spot in a regional US qualifier, there will be Auditions in cities across the country, including Charlotte on April 9th.
All dancers are given 2 mins to showcase their skills. Dancers are judged on a scale of 1-5, with the top two dancers advancing to compete in Atlanta on May 13.
The 1on1, knockout battle tournament pits any and all styles against each other, whether it be poppers, lockers, hip-hop freestylers, house dancers, voguers, krumpers, or any of the other many styles represented in the competition.
The dancers have no idea what songs the DJ will choose to spin for their battles. Poppers might have to hit to rock music and house dancers might have to groove to rap. It’s all about being ready to freestyle to whatever song the DJ drops.
The Red Bull Dance Your Style Charlotte Audition is all ages event with free admission.
