North Carolina Advances To National Championship – Barely Beating Oregon 77-76

After one of the most dramatic national championship losses in college basketball history (77-74 loss to Villanova last year), North Carolina is about to get another chance at the title.

Last night, the Tarheels just barely eked out a 77-76 victory against Oregon in the NCAA semifinal game. This will now be their 11th national championship game in the school’s history.

UNC and Oregon traded the lead several times throughout last night game, and the Tarheels almost gave up their final lead after four missed free throw in the final 5.8 seconds of the game.

UNC’s Meeks and Jackson were the clear MVPs of the game, with a combined 47 points.

They’ll now be advancing to the championship game on Monday night (4/3) starting at 9:20pm at University of Phoenix Stadium (you can buy tickets for the game here – and a flight out to Phoenix here).
