NCDHHS Launches 2 New Tools To Help North Carolinians Know When/Where To Get Vaccinated

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has just launched 2 new tools to help North Carolina residents find out if they are currently eligible to receive a vaccine and if so, where they can get one.

The new ‘Find My Vaccine Group‘ determines what group you are in according to your age, job, and overall health conditions, and allows people to sign up for an automatic notification for when the state opens up vaccinations to their specific group.

They also recently launched the ‘Find a Vaccine Location‘ tool, which allows North Carolinians to enter their ZIP code to find the closest vaccine location and sign up for a slot to get their shot.

“We want North Carolinians to be able to get answers to their questions – whether that is about the vaccines and how they work, when they are eligible to take their shot, or where their spot is to get a vaccine. They can call our hotline or go to YourSpotYourShot.nc.gov and get honest information,” said NCDHHS Secretary Mandy K. Cohen, M.D.

Currently, North Carolina is vaccinating groups 1 and 2. Until the vaccines become more available and more groups get vaccinated, the CDC is recommending that everyone continue wearing a mask, waiting at least six feet apart, and washing their hands often.
