Yesterday, North Carolina recorded its highest number of new Covid-19 cases in 1 day, and the first time our state saw over 3,000 cases recorded in a 24-hour period.

NC Department of Health and Human Services officials have just announced that there were a total of 3,119 new cases recorded yesterday – the highest number our state has seen since the pandemic started (beating the previous highs of 2,906 on 11/6 and 2,716 on 10/23).

We’ve also been seeing an increase in the number of hospitalized, with a total of 1,246 Covid-19 patients currently undergoing treatment.

Here are the complete numbers from the past few weeks:

Earlier this week, Governor Cooper signed Executive Order 176, which will limit all indoor gatherings to no more than 10 people starting on Friday, Nov. 13th.

What else do you think should be done to help slow the spread?
