With COVID cases continuing to spike across our state, a police department in the Outer Banks is getting creative to help stop the spread.
Sunset Beach Police have just added a now-viral message to their traffic alert signs to help encourage local residents to wear their masks when in public.
The sign at the intersection of NC 904 and NC 179 now cycles between 2 messages; “Mandalorians always wear their masks.” and “This is the way.” The popular phrase comes from Disney’s hit new Star Wars show, The Mandalorian.
