The North Carolina Education Lottery is asking for the public’s help in finding the grand prize winner of a $1 Cash 5 ticket that was sold in Charlotte back in May.

The ticket is worth $536,959 and will expire if it’s not brought to the lottery headquarters in Raleigh by 11/9/21.

“We’re urging our Cash 5 players to please check any tickets they have tucked away in a desk drawer, a billfold or pocketbook, or left in the glove compartment of a car,” Mark Michalko, executive director of the lottery, commented in a press release. “It would be sad to see a prize like this go unclaimed so we hope the winner comes forward soon. We have a big check waiting for the winner.”

The $1 ticket was purchased on Wednesday, May 12th at the 7-Eleven at 9025 Mallard Creek Rd. in Charlotte. It contains the winning numbers of 5-15-16-34-35.

Please help spread the word.
