Just 2 weeks after Group 3 vaccines began, several counties around the Charlotte area will begin administering vaccines to Group 4 this week.
At this point, Cabarrus, Cleveland, and Rowan counties have all announced they will start on Group 4 this week.
Those in Group 4 include people with pre-existing medical conditions that put them at risk for serious illness from COVID-19, such as asthma, diabetes, and obesity, as well as intellectual and developmental disabilities including Down Syndrome, and neurologic conditions, such as dementia.
