The Charlotte region is in for another day of day of severe weather as a line of thunderstorms approaches from the south.
This morning the National Weather Service sent out a hazardous weather warning for Cleveland, Lincoln, Gaston, Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, and York counties, saying:
A late season strong cold front is forecast to push through the area this afternoon aiding in the development of numerous showers and thunderstorms. A few of these storms may be severe producing damaging wind gusts. An isolated weak, brief tornado cannot be ruled out.
A strong cold front will bring a threat of severe thunderstorms and isolated flash flooding to the area today. The main impacts will be locally heavy rainfall and damaging wind gusts. But large hail and a brief, weak tornado spin-up or two cannot be ruled out. #ncwx #scwx #gawx pic.twitter.com/1AxBdUxXly
