As the low-wage labor shortage continues to increase across our state, one of the hardest hit establishments is now McDonald’s.
As they prepare to fully reopen all their dining areas across North Carolina, they just sent out a press release saying they need at least 10,000 additional employees.
With pandemic restrictions continuing to lift, an ever increasing number of hospitality establishments are seeking help from a dwindling pool of low-wage employees. McDonalds is now offering workers an EDC (Employee Discount Card). Once an employee has completed one month of continuous service, they will be eligible to receive a discount on meals.
