Kellogg Cereal just issued a massive recall for its Honey Smacks cereal yesterday after the CDC confirmed that many boxes were likely to contain a deadly strain of salmonella.
The CDC has reported that 73 people have already been infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella Mbandaka, including 3 people in North Carolina. Those who are now sick range in age from less than one year to 87, with a median age of 58.65% are female, and 41.35% are male;
The recall includes ‘Honey Smacks cereal‘ in 15.3 and 23 oz packages with UPC codes 3800039103, 3800014810
