Mass Shooting in North Carolina Leaves Two Dead, 13 Shot

A mass shooting in Robeson County, NC, has left at least two people dead and several others injured.

According to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened on Dixon Drive, just outside of Maxon (a couple hours East of Charlotte). Deputies confirmed that 13 people were shot in what appears to have been an isolated incident.

Authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the community. When law enforcement arrived, more than 150 people had already fled the scene. Investigators are now working to identify those involved and determine what led to the gunfire.
