Lake Lure Declares State of Emergency After Flash Flooding Takes Out Roads


The most famous lake town in Western North Carolina has just declared a state of emergency after extreme flash flooding swept the region.

City and County officials around the Lake Lure area declared the emergency after between 6 and 10 inches were dumped on the area in less than 72 hours.
