The Joedance Film Festival will renew one of its legacy fundraising events by hosting “Joedance Jam” on Friday, June 29 from 4-7 p.m. at Suffolk Punch in South End (2911 Griffith Street, Suite A, Charlotte, NC 28203). Joedance Jam is a night of live music through which funds are raised for Atrium Health’s Levine Children’s, which receives proceeds from Joedance Film Festival activities. $1 from every beer sold at Suffolk Punch between 4-7 p.m. will be donated to Joedance to help the organization’s fight against rare pediatric cancers. Live performances will include: Chris Moreno of Nashville, Josey Wails Band of Charlotte and The Sammies of Charlotte. What: Joedance Jam (live music) *proceeds benefit Atrium Health Levine Children’s Where: Suffolk Punch 2911 Griffith Street, Suite A, Charlotte, NC 28203 When: Friday, June 29, 2013, 4-7 p.m. The 10th annual Joedance Film Festival, which raises money for pediatric cancer research, will run Thursday-Saturday nights, August 1-3, 2019 at Charlotte Ballet (701 N. Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28202), which will host the event for the second consecutive year. The move to Charlotte Ballet positions Joedance to participate in the North Tryon Street renaissance and contribute to the northern tier of Uptown Charlotte’s continued growth. Joedance has expanded its film eligibility footprint by accepting films throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. The territory expansion is designed as a first step to position Joedance as a major film festival in the Mid-Atlantic region, and to mirror the service footprint of the organization it benefits, Atrium Health and Levine Children’s.
