The new declaration will temporarily suspending motor vehicle fuel regulations in hopes of providing continued fuel supplies throughout our state.

“Today’s emergency declaration will help North Carolina prepare for any potential motor vehicle fuel supply interruptions across the state and ensure motorists are able to have access to fuel,” Governor Cooper said in a press release.

With an increasing number of gas stations around Charlotte now running out of gas, many residents are turning to fuel station apps such as Gas Buddy and Cheap Gas to find the stations that still have some fuel left…and stations that haven’t yet resorted to price gouging.
