Gastonia’s own Harold Varner III just sunk a ridiculous 90-foot eagle putt to come from behind and beat Bubba Watson by 1 stroke on the last day of the Saudi International.
The world renown tournament was held at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia, and featured many of the PGA’s top golfers from around the world, including; Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, and over 100 others.
Here’s a clip of the tournament winning putt and Varner’s understandably elated reaction:

Varner’s win yesterday secured his 2nd international golf victory, with his first being at the 2016 Australian Open.
He got his start in golf at Gastonia’s Forestview High School, then East Carolina University before going pro in 2012.
