The former governor of South Carolina has just announced that she is officially running for President of The United States in 2024, becoming the first Republican to take on former President Donald Trump in the Republican Primary.
Nikki Haley (who was also Trump’s former UN ambassador) announced her campaign on Twitter at around 7am this morning with a campaign slogan of “Stand For America”.
“Some look at our past as evidence that America’s founding principles are bad, nothing could be further from the truth,” she said in the tweet.
