Piada Italian Street Food is making their Carolinas debut by celebrating the opening of its 45th location at 336B S Sharon Amity Road. The fast casual Italian restaurant will open its doors on Thursday, July 7 at 10:45 a.m. and will be open Sunday through Saturday, 10:45 a.m. until 10 p.m. This marks Piada’s first Southeastern location, with additional locations planned for the University Centre in Charlotte, Raleigh and beyond.

Grand opening day events include a ribbon cutting celebration at 10:30 a.m. and free Piada for a year to the first 25 guests. Opening day visitors can enjoy free samples and giveaways throughout the day. To signify their commitment to the local community, 100% of grand opening day sales will benefit HeartMath Tutoring, an intervention program that recruits and trains volunteers to be elementary math tutors, delivering a proven curriculum in one-on-one sessions during the school day.

Prior to opening, Piada will host tasting events for the community on and off site, including:

  • June 22 beginning at 6 p.m. at Lenny Boy Brewing, 3000 S Tryon Street
  • June 23 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Catawba Brewing, 933 Louise Avenue #105
  • July 2, 5 and 6 at the Cotswold location, sign up to register here

“We are super excited to finally make it to Charlotte and know that Cotswold is a great central base that we can grow from, starting first with serving our neighbors in the surrounding area” says Lance Juhas, Chief Operations Officer and Steward of Guest Experience. “The feeling of community is at our core and we look forward to being a delicious option for the people of Charlotte and all of North Carolina in the coming years.”

Piada combines fresh, modern Italian cuisine in delicious, made-to-order meals. The menu, originally inspired by Italian food carts, offers guests an array of customizable options that are always prepared with the highest-quality ingredients. Guests can create more than 30 different dishes with the three available customizable entrees – the Piada, a Pasta Bowl or a Chopped Salad. The Piada is a wrap made from a thin crust Italian dough baked on a stone-grill, filled with authentic Italian ingredients.

Catering to the needs of all its Guests, Piada has a variety of grill items, vegetables, cheeses, sauces, dressings and toppings available to create individual, unique entrées, including vegetarian options. Recently, Piada launched their Hot Chicken Carbonara made with spaghetti or penne pasta, parmesan alfredo, bruschetta tomatoes, pancetta, spinach, grated parmesan cheese and crispy hot chicken.
