This morning at about 7am, a suspicious package was found at the Duke Energy Building in Uptown Charlotte.
Employees called 911 and police proceeded to shut down part of Martin Luther King Blvd. and evacuate several of the buildings in the area.

The CMPD bomb squad investigated the package and determined that it was a cassette tape from the popular 80s band Journey with no other hazardous or incendiary substances present.
About an hour later, police re-opened the buildings and MLK Blvd.
CMPD released the following statement this morning about the Journey Cassette;
CMPD’s Central Division officers, Canine Unit, and Bomb Unit investigated a suspicious package at the 400 block of South Tryon Street. After an investigation, the package was deemed to not be a threat. pic.twitter.com/eAAfBlYaKA
