Out of the thousands of law enforcement, fire, and other agencies that created lip sync challenge videos this summer, CMPD was nominated last week by USA Today as a contender to be crowned the best in the nation.
The publication selected the top 4 videos from each of the 4 US regions to go head-to-head in a 3-round voting tournament.
CMPD already beat Hampton VA in the first round, Harford County, MD in the Second Round, and they are currently dominating the Seattle Police Department in the 3rd and semi-final round;
If (and when) we win the Semifinal round, we will advance to the final round to take on the winner of Dakota County, MN VS Flower Mound, TX.
CMPD’s video quickly went viral back in July, hitting 1 million views the day after posting – it’s now received over 24 million views.
