Charlotte’s very first $5-a-day yoga studio has just opened on Randolph Road in Elizabeth.

Lori Parrish, the owner and founder of Bijou 5, decided to go with a never-changing $5 price tag for everyone so she could help as many people as possible find physical and mental healing.

“I’m passionate about yoga and have practiced over 20 years. It changed my life. I want to be able to help people see not only the physical benefits but the mental as well.”

The affordable price tag isn’t the only thing that sets Bijou apart.

“We don’t have a front desk or a receptionist,” noted Parrish. “Our teachers personally check in all of our students when they walk in the front door – we want to get to know everyone on a personal level.”

Bijou 5 Yoga offers various styles of yoga and meditation for all levels, and they’ll soon start teaching educational classes about Yoga. They currently offer deep stretch, meditation, and power flow classes, with kids yoga, teen yoga, prenatal yoga, and dog yoga (Doga) classes in the works.

There are currently 35 classes available, maxing out at 10 people each to give plenty of room and accessibility – popular time slots have been filling up fast.

You can now sign up for classes online to secure your spot.

Starting on Nov 2, they’ll also feature ‘wine-down Fridays’ with classes finishing up with a complimentary glass of wine.
