Starting Monday, Nov. 3, Charlotte’s Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and Samaritan’s Purse will begin serving free lunches to employees impacted by the ongoing government shutdown.

The meals will be available daily from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at five sites across North Carolina. All affected federal workers—including judicial, law enforcement, civil service, regulatory, and military personnel (National Guard and Reserve)— will be eligible for the free meals with valid federal ID.

Here are the five lunch locations:

  • Billy Graham Library parking lot, 4330 Westmont Drive, Charlotte

  • Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove, 1 Porters Cove Road, Asheville

  • Samaritan’s Purse, 801 Bamboo Road, Boone

  • Samaritan’s Purse, 401 Elkin Highway, North Wilkesboro

  • Samaritan’s Purse, 1 Samaritan Lane, Greensboro

In his announcement, BGEA and Samaritan’s Purse CEO Franklin Graham noted, “I hope thousands of churches with kitchens will do the same thing. While the politicians argue back and forth, let’s do something.”

No registration is required, and the meals will continue until the government shutdown ends.
