With 54% of merchants expecting increased holiday spending in 2020 despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its 2020 Holiday Budgets by City report.
To help consumers avoid post-holiday regret, the site used several key metrics, such as income, age, and savings-to-monthly expenses ratio, to estimate the maximum spending amounts for consumers in each of 570 U.S. cities.

The Queen City fell just below the midpoint of all cities in America, coming in at 293 out of 570. Palo Alto was ranked #1 with an average holiday budget of $3,056 and Albany, GA was ranked #570 with an average holiday budget of $50.
